July 25, 2009...Today we...

Today we decided to go on a family outing. This is a really big deal, if you didn't know. Mom and Dad don't normally want to get off of the couch for too long on a Saturday. So Jacob and I were super excited when they told us we would go to the Central Arkansas Nature Center!!! We were ready to go right away...well, until Mom told us we had to potty and brush our teeth...shirt, shoes, pants...the whole bit. Then we decided we'd get ready..."in a minute." (Jacob's favorite phrase) After chasing us around a bit, Mom got us ready to go and tricked us into going out for breakfast first. I was on my most hilarious behavior...standing up in the high chair, jumping around in the booth, banging on everything I saw with the spoon Mom gave me to keep me quiet, throwing my food across the table...you know, all the good stuff. Anyway, we went to the museum and it was AWESOME! I got to see fish and fish and elk and fish and elk and fish and a movie about elk and fish and fish and elk! And I didn't stop telling everyone really loudly about the "shish" and "alk". Jacob had been there before so here was our tour guide for the day. He showed me and Daddy everything! He knows a lot about game and fish. Then Jacob wanted to show me and Daddy the Dragon at the Museum of Discovery. We sold Mommy some fish at the fish market, played in Mr. McGregor's garden, danced to some really awful music and even saw some piranha! BIG DAY! Here are some pictures...

My First Haircut

Well, Mom was taking Jacob to get all gussied up to go see Great Grandmother so she decided, "why not go ahead and get Noah's 9 hairs cut too...just for the fun of it!" And boy was it fun! I think Mom expected me to scream and cry and insist on sitting in her lap. Not me, no way! I loved it! I sat in the airplane and drove and smiled and laughed and hammed it up for everyone. Jacob was so proud of me. Mom was just in shock. She even splurged for the "First Haircut Package", which was more expensive than the haircut itself, and consisted of a picture of me and my hair in a ziplock, all attached to a card that said "First Haircut"...the cashier even wrote the date on the card. Oooohh...fancy! But Mom was thrilled and insisted that everyone notice my big boy haircut for the rest of the week. Of course, I really look no different at all because I had hardly any hair to begin with. But let's all just humor her, alright?
