Let's Go Fly a Kite!

Last Friday was "Kite Day" at school. I was really excited...so was Mom...she kept singing some crazy bad song, "let's go fly a kite" all week long!

It was the perfect day for flying kites!

Mom and Noah and Nicholas all came to join in the fun.

It was a blast!!!

I couldn't stop smiling.

But this kite stuff is serious business. Ty and I were very serious. It was the ULTIMATE WAR! I was trying so hard to take down his kite. I didn't quite get it, but I managed to get tangled with some others. It was the ULTIMATE WAR! (Say it in your best "monster truck voice". )Mom kept telling me that it wasn't nice to try to knock someone else's kite down. But it was the ULTIMATE WAR! She just didn't understand. But then I found out that apparently, Ty wasn't aware of our ULTIMATE WAR. He told on me. He told my Mom that I was trying to ruin his kite flying. She apologized profusely. I still say it was the ULTIMATE WAR...your fault for not realizing it. We are good though. He asked me to show him how to fly a kite really high. I said sure, I'd show him next time we are out flying kites.

Anyway, kite day was super duper fun, and everybody had a great time!!!

Can't you tell?

As promised, I got to try solid food this week. I don't really see what all the fuss is about. I'd rather have milk.

Here is Mom explaining the whole procedure to me...food goes on spoon, spoon goes in mouth, etc...

Okay, I think I'm ready.

First bite...

Second bite...

Somebody help me!

Third bite...

She's not looking...quick, hide the spoon!

Phew! That did it...I think we're done!

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll stick with milk.

Bake Sale, Shmake Shmale

So Mommy made these cake pops for the school bake sale, not for us to eat! It took her 5 times as long as she thought it would, and 10 times longer than she should have spent on anything. But look who's eating them. Well, could you resist these faces? Neither could she. Don't ask how many she ate. "Only the messed up ones." - uh huh, Mom. We are believing that.

Noah's map

NOAH: "Wanna see my new map? It says, Dear God, I didn't know you were in heaven. I love my baby and Mom. Thank you, God, for my new map."

How big a boy are ya?

I am 4 months old! I weigh 12 pounds & 15 ounces (14%), am 24&1/2 inches long (35%), and have a head circumfrence of 16&1/2 inches (41%). So much for the family "pea head". Daddy thinks those folks at the doctor's office have trouble with measurements. He thinks I am really a much bigger boy. Mommy thinks I am the most perfect size of any baby ever. Noah went with me to visit the doctor yesterday. He is a good big brother...he tried to protect me. He told them over and over that I would not be needing a shot. They did not listen. Mom sent him out of the room for the "procedure". When he came back in, he put on a brave face for me, held back his tears (barely), and told Mom, "They did hurt him." Poor Noah. I guess I shouldn't have thrown such a fit. Because I was fine and was a very happy boy for the rest of my birthday. Doc says I'm looking good. good size, good development, and the cutest baby that has ever been in that office. Okay, that last part was Mom, but
we know he was thinking it too. I can hold my head up very well when lying on my tummy, as you can see. I have rolled over once. I like to talk, and hold onto toys when I can actually get my hands on them. And I love to taste everything. Everything. This can be pretty gross sometimes. Mommy says she will give me some cereal this week. I can't wait! but I don't think it could possibly be as tasty as my toes.

Tasty Toes

I learned something new yesterday...my toes are delicious! I don't know about you, but I could chew on my toes all. day. long. Actually, judging by how yours look, I don't think they are probably quite as tasty as mine. So you may chew on mine if you like. But later...right now I am really enjoying them.
