Jack-o-lantern fun...sort of

Today Mom had the greatest idea! She decided to cut open a pumpkin, hollow it out, then cut shapes out of it to make it look like it had a smiling face. She put a candle inside to make it light up in the dark, and called it Jack-o-lantern. Isn't she the most clever, creative and fun mommy? I bet as soon as I blog this I will start seeing Jack-o-lanterns all over the place from copy cats. And I can brag that my Mom came up with the idea! What? Really? Well, I've never seen them before. Well, it was fun anyway! I loved spooning out the slimy guts, squooshing them around in the bowl and pretending to eat them. I especially enjoyed this because it made Jacob gag...a lot! I'm not sure how stoked Jacob was about most of it, but once he got the "poker" he was in hog heaven! You all know how Jacob loves a good weapon. But Mommy was very diligent in making sure he was safely poking holes only in the pumpkin and not in any of us! Our Jack turned out grand! And Mommy got some good pictures (which, let's face it, was probably the main point of this whole activity.)

Gotta run,
Noah

Rainy Day Snowball Fight!

So this was like the 68th day of rain in a row. Okay maybe not, but the weather has been a bit dreary lately. This morning Mom let us watch "George of the Jungle" AGAIN, first thing in the morning. Not such a great idea because then we get bored and cranky and she has already played that card. She's still got a lot to learn. Anyway, Mom felt the need to come up with something creative to keep us all from losing our marbles. So she decided that she and I would make "snowballs" while Noah was napping, and have a snowball fight when he woke. I thought this actually sounded pretty lame, but she kept insisting so I went with it. She tried to make the assembly fun, but I finally, very politely told her that I would be playing something else while she stuffed the socks with cotton. Anyway, she finished our snowballs, Noah awoke, and Mommy decided that we should put on our hats and scarves to "go outside". She was trying so hard. I really wasn't interested, but came up with some superhero thing to go along with my ridiculous getup. Finally Mom convinced us to throw the snowballs with her. Boy am I glad she did! It was awesome! Mom and I against Noah!!! And we creamed him! I have not had so much fun since, well, we played tackle football 3 days ago...but still! Here are some pictures of our fight.
