It has been such a rainy couple of days. But I have had a big time playing with the acorn and leaf that Nana gave me. I bet she never thought a leaf and acorn from her yard would be such an exciting toy! We did brave the wet weather Tuesday to take a trip to the library for story time. I was so excited! Mommy let me wear my rain boots and carry the umberella. We played and read books before story time started. I couldn't wait. Then when the librarian opened the doors and everyone went into storytime room, I decided I wasn't ready...and I let everyone know by yelling it angrily many times. Mom turned bright red. She finally dragged me in, but I wouldn't sit in the circle. So we sat on a bench in the back of the room. Mommy and the librarian kept trying to make me smile while we sang songs and played games. I tried as hard as I could not to have fun, but I finally gave in and had a wonderful time! Then I checked out the coolest fire engine book, and Mommy read it about 20 times in a row when we got home.
Today Mommy gave me the job of filling the Change for Children can with quarters. She explained that the money was for children who don't have mommies and daddies, and this money could help buy them nice toys to play with, like the ones I have. I was very excited to help. After dropping in a couple of coins, I asked Mommy "Do they have mommies and daddies yet?" Mommy looked puzzled. I put in some more money and asked agian "Do they have mommies and daddies now?"
Mommy declared today 'Pajama Day' since it was so rainy out. But she did end up playing with me out in the rain and even let me play with the water hose. I just wasn't satisfied with the amount of rain Gustav was bringing. She didn't go for playing a baseball game in the rain though, so I just played it myself!
Mom and Dad are saying it is bedtime now. Gotta get my cutie rest!
